Over the course of 24 hours, Defense Force aviation and missile forces carried out strikes on nine areas where Russian personnel were concentrated.
During the current day, 91 military clashes took place at the front. Most of the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repulsed in three eastern directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the evening report on Saturday, May 20.
Thus, the Russian invaders carried out 14 missile and 48 air strikes, carried out 61 shelling from MLRS on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
The Russians did not carry out offensive actions in the Kupyansk direction, but carried out an air strike in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Sinkovka, Kharkov region.
About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Stepnaya Novoselovka, Ivanovka, Kotlyarovka in the Kharkov region.
In the Liman direction, the Defense Forces repelled nine attacks in the area of ​​the village of Terny, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops.
The Russians also carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Novosadovo and Yampolevka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were damaged by artillery and mortar shelling, including Nevskoye in the Lugansk region and Terny and Torskoye in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 25 attacks in the areas of Belogorivka settlements, Luhansk region; Verkhnekamennoye, Spornoe, Klishchievka, Ivanovskoye, Novy Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve the tactical situation.
The Russians also carried out air strikes in the areas of Chasov Yar and New York in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Grigorovka, Kalinovka, Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdeevsky direction, the Defense Forces repelled 18 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Semenovka, Novokalinovo, Ocheretino, Berdychi, Umanskoye, Yasnobrodovka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to oust Ukrainian units from their occupied lines.
The Russian army also carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Novobakhmutovka, Alexandropol, Solovyevo and Novoaleksandrovka in the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Defense Forces continued to contain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Georgievka, Novomikhailovka, Vodyanoye and Urozhaynoye in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 17 times.
The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorovka, Shakhterskoye and Bolshaya Novoselka. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Paraskovyevka, Konstantinovka, and Ugledar.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the Russians, with the support of aviation, once attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Staromayorskoye area of ​​the Donetsk region. Air strikes were carried out in the areas of the settlements of Malaya Tokmachka and Robotino, Zaporozhye region.
About 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling, including Stepnoe, Shcherbaki, Pyatikhatki in the Zaporozhye region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy did not abandon his intention to oust Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper and made three unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of ​​​​the village of Krynki.
About 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling, including Tyaginka, Ivanovka, Novotyaginka, Ponyatovka, Sadovoe, Olgovka, Nikolaevka, Huge in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes on eight areas where Russian personnel were concentrated.
Units of the missile forces inflicted defeat on the area of ​​concentration of personnel, the composition of ammunition, air defense equipment, and the area of ​​concentration of weapons and military equipment of the Russian Army.
