#3 A smart operator would invite the Russians to take up concurrent occupancy at the base, make them familiar with the security arrangements, and use then as a rear-guard to cover the orderly withdrawal of the last US Troops and aircraft! Why not be straightforward about it, since that is the endgame that will happen in any event?
