Afghanistan
Suicide Attack Kills Four Foreign Security Guards in Kabul
[Tolo News] A Taliban jacket wallah detonated his explosive-laden cycle of violence inside an anti-narcotics camp in a town called Qasaba in Kabul killing four foreign security guards and injuring six Afghan guards on Tuesday morning.

The nationalities of the fatalities were three Nepalese, one of which was a female and one Peruvian male.

According to Sediq Sediqqi, front man for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the suicide kaboomer entered the camp while riding on a cycle of violence.

"When he entered he detonated his explosives in front of the third gate of the camp where foreign contractors and the department of counter narcotics exist," he explained. "The attack resulted in the deaths of three Nepalese security guards and one Peruvian and injuring six other Afghan guards."

On condition of anonymity a security official said that the suicide bomber was an Afghan security guard working alongside foreign contractors.

"The suicide bomber was an Afghan security guard working alongside foreigners at the anti-narcotics office for many years," said the security official.

This was the second attack in five days in the township of Qasaba in Kabul.

In last few weeks, security situations have worsened in the capital city. Suicide attacks, plantation of magnetic bombs and rocket attacks have overshadowed the calm city. Citizens of Kabul ask the intelligence services and security forces be on high alert and provide an explanation as to how these suicide bombers manage to enter the capital of the country.

Taliban Shadow Governor Killed in Badakhshan Clash
[Tolo News] Taliban shadow governor, Qari Fakhruddin, and nine other Lions of Islam were killed on Monday in a clash with Afghan cops in north-eastern Badakhshan province, local officials said on Tuesday.

Five other Lions of Islam were maimed in the attack.

The clash took place in Jurm district of the province after the Taliban Lions of Islam began battling with the Afghan forces in which Qari Fakhurddin, who was appointed as the shadow governor, and nine other Lions of Islam were killed, said Ghulaam Haidar Haidari head of the 209th Shaheen Military Corps in the north zone.

He said the Afghan forces have seized the body of Qari Fakhurddin along with weapons.

The Afghan forces have launched a military operation in Jurm district in the past 20 days to clear the area of Death Eaters, he added.

However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
he did not provide details about the casualties of the Afghan forces during the operation.

The Taliban have not yet commented about the operation

Clashes in Libya's Benghazi kill 16, injure 81
[Iran Press TV] Clashes between Libyan army troops and anti-government militia groups in the eastern city of Benghazi have left 16 people dead and 81 injured.

"Most of the dead and injured are soldiers. Three civilians, including an Egyptian, were killed when a rocket hit their house," AFP quoted a hospital source as saying.

Fighting broke out on Monday, when bully boyz attacked an army base and clashed with government troops and forces loyal to retired General Khalifa Haftar. Haftar launched a military offensive in the country's east on May 16, saying that he wants to crush the bully boyz and "establish stability in Libya."

The event comes after a one-week fighting between rival militia groups for control of the main international airport in the capital, Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
, which claimed the lives of at least 47 people. Several airplanes were burned and parts of the airport damaged in the battles, which began on July 13.

Nearly three years after the fall of former dictator Muammar Qadaffy
...a reminder that a single man with an idea can change an entire nation, usually for the worse...
, Libya is still grappling with rising insecurity as the country has been witnessing numerous festivities between government forces and rival militia groups.

The former rebels refuse to lay down arms despite efforts by the central government to impose law and order.

Thousands of angry Libyan demonstrators have frequently taken to the streets in different cities to protest against the lack of security across the North African country.

France Raid Nets Three Suspected Jihadists
[IsraelTimes] Two men and a woman have been incarcerated
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
in a dawn raid in southern La Belle France on suspicion of recruiting fighters for Syria and planning attacks at home, police said.

The suspects were arrested in the city of Albi in a joint raid by the DGSI intelligence agency and RAID, an elite police special operations unit.

Two had returned this spring from three months in Syria and one is suspected of recruiting jihadist fighters, according to preliminary information.

A police source said they are suspected of planning "violent acts."

The French government is deeply concerned about the radicalization of a fringe
...A little late for that, given the behaviour by anti-Israel "protesters" recently...
among its five-million-strong Moslem minority after hundreds of its citizens were found to have joined the ranks of jihadists in Syria.

La Belle France this month unveiled a bill aimed at strengthening anti-terrorism laws to stop aspiring jihadists from traveling to Syria.

It includes a ban on foreign travel of up to six months for individuals suspected of radicalization, and gives authorities powers to temporarily confiscate and invalidate their passports.

According to official estimates, around 800 Frenchies or residents — including dozens of women — have traveled to Syria, returned from the conflict-ridden country or plan to go there.

Fears that returnees from Syria may pose a violent threat were thrown into sharp focus in May when a French-Algerian man fresh back from the country rubbed out four people at the Brussels Jewish Museum.

20 Jamrud families shift to Peshawar
[DAWN] LANDI KOTAL: Twenty families on Tuesday migrated to safe places in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
from Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency due to precarious situation in most parts of the tribal region.

Local sources in Ghundi told Dawn that around 20 families from Qazi Khel, Mastan Khel and Mandu Khel sub-tribes of Kukikhel
...a tribe of primitives inhabiting Khyber Agency. They are a branch of the Afridi tribe. Traditionally they have been migratory, tromping between Jamrud and the Rajgal valley with the seasons. The tribe has had mustache-cursing relationships with several other tribes, including the Zakkakhel and Kambarkhel, and with the Mullagori. They make welcome most anyone with a turban and automatic weapons, but every once in awhile they get together a tribal lashkar to mollify the government...
tribe left their homes on Tuesday morning and shifted to different localities of Peshawar.

The sources said that the families took the decision of leaving their houses when a stray mortar shell fell on the house of a retired khasadar
...a rural policeman in Pakistain or India...
at midnight which resulted in injuries to a minor girl and partial damage to the house.

Also, murderous Moslems fired at least three rockets at a security force convoy in Ghundi area during the same night, but no one was injured. Security forces also fired back in self-defence and the firing continue for sometime, causing fear and panic among the local residents.

Security forces later defused a high intensity bomb in the same locality.

Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Irene was indignant at the thought of doing such a thing without benefit of clergy...
the Kukikhel tribal elders have convened a jirga today (Wednesday) to review imposition of curfew in certain localities and search operation of security forces.

Talking to Dawn, MNA Haji Shahji Gul said the jirga would devise future course of action along with formation of a Kukikhel Qaumi Sareshtha, which would work to safeguard the honour and respect of the tribe rather than taking up arms against Death Eaters.

He said that though his tribe was in favour of a military operation against murderous Moslems in Jamrud tehsil, it would neither raise a tribal lashkar nor would it extend any help to the security forces as restoring peace was the prime responsibility of the government.

He said the political administration and security forces had decided to establish some additional checkposts in the troubled localities in order to check movement of murderous Moslems and other anti-social elements.

you can observe a lot just by watching...
the school administration allowed him to continue to live on the school premises and they used to give him some money as sustenance. He lived alone. The police suspected some personal enmity behind the murder.

Iraq
ISIS militants ransack Catholic monastery near Mosul
Islamic militants have seized a monastery in northern Iraq, kicking out its Christian monks as well as Christian residents of Mosul.

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/ISIS) insurgents stormed the ancient Mar Benham monastery in the Christian town of Qaraqosh Sunday, near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, which was overrun by ISIS on 10 June. Mar Benham is a 4th century monastery run by the Syriac Catholic church.

A member of the Syriac clergy said the monks pleaded to be allowed to save some of the monastery's relics but the ISIS fighters refused and ordered them to leave on foot with only the clothes on their back.

"You have no place here anymore, you have to leave immediately," one of the militants told the monks, according to the clergyman.

The monks then walked several kilometers along a road and were eventually picked up by Kurdish Peshmerga fighters who drove them to Qaraqosh, AFP reported Monday.

Christian families in the area said that as well as the monks there may have been another nine people living in the monastery.

Over the weekend hundreds of families from minority religions fled Mosul, a once multi-cultural, cosmopolitan city, which is the second largest in Iraq. Other groups, who have been persecuted in the Mosul area, include Yazidis, Shabak and Shiite Turkmen populations.

Leaders of Iraq's Chaldean church said that Mosul is now virtually emptied of Christians for the first time in almost two millennia. Mosul Christians are mostly Assyrians, or Chaldean's, known as the Church of the East and are an eastern rite of the Catholic Church.

The ISIS insurgents issued an ultimatum to all Christians that they had until 19 July to either convert to Islam, leave or pay a special tax. If they don't comply "then there is nothing to give them but the sword," read the ominous ISIS threat.

But ISIS's treatment of Shia Muslims has been much worse than their treatment of Christians. 13 Shia mosques and shrines have been destroyed and there are reports of Shiites being held captive for ransom, repeatedly beaten and in some cases murdered.

#11  The only consolation we have is the Shia and the Sunni have been fighting each other longer than they've been fighting us.

The periodic religious fervor to jihad is used by the imams and the rulers to divert attention away from their corrupt ways.

The question is: Do they run out of Sunnis/Shias before they run out of us?
Posted by: Bill Clinton || 07/23/2014 11:17 Comments || Top||

#12  Either way, destroying those Shia shrines have kicked off another 2-3 decades of constant warfare between the factions. It was a big mistake on ISIS part, as now there's going to be hundreds of thousands of Shia martyrs looking to do damage. As soon as the Militia's being formed up get some training, the bloodbath will really kick off.

I just mourn for all the lost history and dead innocents caused by all this, who were tolerant of other cultures. Then again, they didn't exactly stand up to stop this either.

Something I am thankful for though is the refugee's allowed to actually LEAVE. I was sure they'd be headless corpses all over Mosul, but instead they're getting kicked out. Even if they weren't allowed to take anything(Why hadn't it been MOVED already), at least they are alive. Perhaps to return and rebuild someday.

Suicide Car Bomber Kills 23 in Baghdad
[Iraq Sun] A suicide boom-mobileer has killed 23 people and maimed more than 40 others at a police checkpoint in a Shi'ite neighborhood in northern Baghdad.

The attack was carried out Tuesday in the Kadhimiya district.

No one has grabbed credit.

Also Tuesday, reports say Iraqi government Arclight airstrikes killed 19 people over the last two days in the Sunni turban-controlled city of Fallujah.

The reports say women and kiddies are among the victims.

Sunni turbans have declared an Islamic state in parts of northern Iraq and Syria and threaten to overrun Baghdad as they try to topple the Shi'ite-led government.

Fighting between Sunni turbans and the Iraqi army has killed thousands of civilians.

Iraqi Airstrikes Kill 19 Near Fallujah
[VOA News] Iraqi government air strikes killed 19 people, including children, in Falluja on Monday and Tuesday, a health official in the bad boy-held city said.

The Iraqi army has been shelling Falluja, 70 km (44 miles west of Baghdad), for months, trying to drive out the Sunni Lions of Islam from the group now known as Islamic State. The murderous Moslems, backed by discontented local Sunni tribal leaders, overran the city in January.

Ahmed al-Shami, a front man for the Falluja health office — the local arm of the health ministry — said the 19 dead included women and kiddies and that Falluja hospital had also received 38 maimed people since Monday evening.

Residents of Falluja and the nearby town of Garma said helicopters fired artillery and dropped three barrel bombs on Falluja and two on Garma.

Barrel bombs — powerful makeshift weapons made from high explosives, cement and metal parts packed into oil drums, usually dropped from helicopters — have gained notoriety in the region because of their use in neighboring Syria by Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Despoiler of Deraa...
's forces to flatten buildings in rebel-held areas.

Scores of people have been killed since January in what residents describe as indiscriminate bombardment. In May, witnesses in Falluja said barrel bombs had been dropped on the city.

The government denies indiscriminate attacks, saying it targets murderous Moslems, but a mid-level security officer in Anbar province has previously confirmed that barrel bombs have been dropped on Fallujah.

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's military front man, Lieutenant-General Qassim Atta, was not immediately available to comment on this week's attacks.

Hamas gunmen shoot at IDF from hospital, prompting return fire
Hamas has used positions in the Al-Wafa Hospital in Gaza to fire automatic weapons and anti-tank missiles on soldiers, and the IDF fired back in recent minutes, the army said Wednesday.

"The hospital was used for activating war rooms and command and control centers by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad," the army said.

The IDF Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories has issued repeated and direct warnings to the hospital's manager, and to other Palestinians involved in running the hospital, the army said.

#4  Even the morgue is not sure over there. I remember someone posting a video of a Paleo funeral procession with all the req'd fuming at the Juice. The media was filming, but left after they finished the protest/processional. Someone kept camera running and the "body" that was covered and lifted up on the crowd's shoulders as a "martyr" got up and walked away. Completely shows the farce the media is in that part of the world.

Liveblogging Operation Protective Edge: Day 16
[IsraelTimes] Foreign worker killed by rocket fire; 30,000 mourn as Los Angeles-born soldier buried

The Times of Israel is liveblogging events as they unfold through Wednesday, the 16th day of Operation Protective Edge. The IDF corpse count is at 29, with another soldier MIA presumed dead and claimed by Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, to be in their hands (dead or alive). US Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
and UN Secretary-General the ephemeral Ban Ki-moon
... of whom it can be said to his credit that he is not Kofi Annan...
are in the region, but a ceasefire does not appear close. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the operation will continue until sustained quiet is achieved for Israel and Hamas's terrorist capabilities greatly degraded. Some foreign airlines are suspending flights to Israel after a rocket hit a home near the airport, followed by Israeli carriers increasing flights. IDF-Hamas fighting in Gazoo remains intensive, Hamas is still trying to carry out attacks in Israel through tunnels, and rockets are still being fired. Within Gazoo, Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, continues to use ambulances for transport.

The IDF killed 30 Death Eaters in the past 24 hours, and 210 overall since the ground offensive was launched last Thursday. Twenty-eight are in Israeli custody.

The army has uncovered 28 tunnels in the Gazoo Strip, and completely demolished six tunnels as well as 57 tunnel entrances, the IDF says.

#1  Ynet added:

In addition to fighting Hamas terrorists and destroying their tunnels, the IDF troops in Gaza have another important mission: capturing wanted suspects.

Some 20 terrorists of different ranks have been arrested in the last few days and have been questioned by the Shin Bet in facilities in Israel.

For now, many of them are providing the defense establishment with useful information. "They're providing the information they're meant to provide," a senior army official said.

According to the Shin Bet, the IDF had intelligence about the tunnel that was found in the southern part of the Eshkol Regional Council, out of which 10 terrorists tried to infiltrate Israel, that allowed the troops to prepare with increased forces in the sector.

"We're working with intelligence that is turning out to be very accurate in helping locate tunnels," another senior official said.

Meanwhile out on the field, the air force and ground troops cooperate well. Early Tuesday morning, the IAF conducted a massive airstrike in the Gaza City neighborhood of Shuja'iyya. The struck targets were only 250 meters away from IDF ground forces and the hour-long strike included dozens of bombs on 100 buildings.

As dozens of fighter jets bombed the targets, most of them abandoned by civilians, the ground troops were at a safe distance.

It turns out Secretary of State Kerry was right: they can do pinpoint attacks. Such a clever man!

#2  Being captured and then interrogated by Shin Bet does not sound like fun.
Posted by: Rambler in Virginia || 07/23/2014 14:38 Comments || Top||

#3  one of the most effective shin bet interrogation techniques has nothing to do with physical force

it involves shin bet saying that they have the means to spread rumors that the interrogated willingly released actionable intel and they have the means to spread rumors that the interrogated bravely resisted

the interrogated realizes that if the former such info reaches Hamas, even if the intel is minimal or even if it is false, Hamas may well kill or torture the friends and family members of the interrogated

Israel attacks UN school sheltering Palestinians in Gaza
[Iran Press TV] Israeli forces have attacked a UN school sheltering displaced Paleostinians against the Israeli offensive in the besieged Gazoo Strip.
Is that the second school where the UN discovered missiles were being stored?
On Tuesday, Israel's tanks shelled the school belonging to the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
Relief and Works Agency for Paleostine Refugees (UNRWA) in al-Maghazi, located in central Gazoo, an official said on condition of anonymity.

The school had also come under fire on Monday.

"Yesterday we got reports that it was shelled and so today we sent our guys down to investigate and see which side the fire came from," the official said, adding, "They went down there with Israeli clearance, and while they were there, they came under Israeli shelling,"

There were holes blown through the walls of the school while its gates were blown off, said the UNRWA official.

UNRWA, which is sheltering more than 100,000 people at more than 60 of its schools in Gazoo, submitted a formal letter regarding the attack to the Israeli regime after evacuating the school.

Meanwhile,
...back at the comedy club, Boogie ducked another tomato...
Jens Laerke, front man of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said at a presser in Geneva that tens of thousands of Gazook kids were in need of treatment for the trauma they have experienced.

"According to an assessment by aid workers on the ground, at least 107,000 children need psycho-social support for the trauma they are experiencing such as death, injury or loss of their homes," Laerke said, adding, "There is literally no safe place for civilians."

So far, around 630 people have been killed and over 3,700 others injured by the Israeli regime despite pressure from international community.

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Paleostinian resistance movement Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, has been launching retaliatory attacks against Israel.

#1  A tragic and tearful tale - with no mention of exactly why tanks might be firing on a school.

But maybe that is just what the Juice do, drive around in tanks blowing up schools. Does kinda sound like fun! But being civilized folk, I suspect they have better things to do.

#1  What EXACTLY is the kill RATIO? About 40 to 1...?

Hamas targets Civilians ( dirty dirty Jewzzzz ) and the IDF has to go in an hunt through the garbage and the sewers to find the rockets and its inevitable that Hamas DID KNOW that and that there WOULD be collateral damage bigtime. But what, the hell, let's rocket the dirty Jewzzz anyway, is the way Hamas sees it.

Big surprise..lots of coffins for Gazoo. Hamas could give a rosy patoot. Anti-semitic riots in London and Paris. But then the EUroweenies tend to be that way.

Sixteen days and counting. Obama and Kerry are playing pocket pool and watching.... and talking mush.

Let's sing the National Anthem .

#2  The IDF death toll has reached 32, plus one missing, presumed dead.

At least 350 Palestinians have been killed since Israel began its ground operation, raising the recent escalation's death toll in Gaza to 655, with some 4,220 wounded.

25 members of one family die in Israeli air strike on Hamas member
[Iraq Sun] On Sunday, 20 July 2014, at around 7:00pm, the home of the Abu Jame' family in the Bani Suheila neighborhood, northeast of Khan Yunis in Gazoo, came under attack.

Israeli forces bombed the four-story building that is home to the extended family: the matriarch, Fatmeh Abu Jame', her four sons, and their wives and children. The family were eating iftar, the meal that breaks Ramadan fasting for the day. The Israeli human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
organization B'Tselem's initial findings indicate that the likely target of the attack was Ahmad Suliman Sahmoud, a member of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,' military wing, who was visiting a member of the family.
Ah. So they were human shields, not permitted to flee. Got it.
Everyone who was in the house at the time of the bombing was hurt: 25 members of the Abu Jame' family were killed, as well as Hamas operative Sahmoud. The rest were maimed, including at least three of Fatmeh Abu Jame's sons and one of her daughters, who were taken to the a-Nasser medical center in Khan Yunis. Many bodies were buried under the rubble and removed only this morning.

Information B'Tselem says it has at this stage indicates that no warning was issued and no warning missile was fired prior to the attack. B'Tselem says it is continuing its investigation into the incident.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Rebel-Held Damascus Hit by Fiercest Clashes in Months
[An Nahar] Rebel-held eastern Damascus was hit by its fiercest fighting in months Tuesday, as the sacking of a Syrian opposition chief deepened divisions among those bidding to oust Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Light of the Alawites...
The Syrian conflict, which has killed more than 170,000 people since March 2011, has grown increasingly complex this year, with the rebels fighting to topple Assad also training their sights on the Islamic State's jihadists.

More than 40 months on, the regime is estimated to still control 40 percent of inhabited territory, compared with 25 percent both for the rebels and the IS, and 10 percent for Kurds.

In eastern Damascus, the fiercest fighting in months raged between opposition and regime fighters at the entrance to the rebel-held district of Jobar, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Jobar is under the control of opposition fighters, but is surrounded by army-held areas that lead into the capital, Assad's stronghold and the seat of his power.

Tuesday's fighting came a week after rebels broke across army lines and seized a checkpoint, inching ever closer to the strategic Abbasiyeen square. The army then launched a counter-offensive, and recaptured the checkpoint.

The air force pounded Jobar, while the army and pro-regime paramilitary forces sent in reinforcements to try to push back the rebel fighters.

An Agence La Belle France Presse correspondent nearby reported hearing "very loud kabooms" that began overnight and were still rocking the area on Tuesday afternoon.

Jobar is important because it is located at the entrance to the besieged, rebel-held Eastern Ghouta area on the outskirts of the capital. It is also crucial because it is at the gates of Damascus.

Since its creation in 2012, the main opposition National Coalition, which is backed by the West, has been undermined by sharp divisions between factions supported by Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and Qatar.

The bloc has also been weakened by its inability to secure game-changing international assistance for rebels seeking Assad's overthrow, while the regime has received an endless stream of help from its Russian and Iranian allies.

And in the latest blow to its unity, opposition government chief Ahmad Tohme was sacked on Tuesday due to the rivalry between the group's Saudi and Qatari-backed camps.

Tohme, who had been named head of the opposition's interim government 10 months ago and who was close to the Moslem Brüderbund, was sacked when "Saudi Arabia let its allies know that they needed to cut ties with the group," said Samir Nashar, a veteran dissident and Coalition member.

The National Coalition is recognized by scores of states and organizations as a legitimate representative of the Syrian people.

However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
the exiled group has been accused by rebels and activists of being "disconnected" from reality on the ground, as well as of corruption and subservience to its backers in Riyadh and Doha.

Meanwhile,
...back at the hanging, Butch continued with his last words, trying not to repeat himself too often......
European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
foreign ministers agreed Tuesday to expand sanctions against Syria over the government's "violent repression" of its civilian population.

The decision brings the total number of people on the EU's Syria sanctions list to 192, alongside 62 entities.

Western critics of Assad's regime have been hesitant to back the rebels, citing fears weapons could end up in the hands of bad boys.

But at the same time, the bad boy Islamic State -- which is notorious for its mass kidnappings, summary executions and crucifixions -- has been growing in strength.

The jihadist group has been seemingly unstoppable in recent months, with its fighters overrunning all of the oil fields in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor.

On Tuesday, Syria's Oil Minister Suleiman Abbas said the country's oil and gas industries have suffered total losses of $21.4 billion since the outbreak of the conflict.

The civil war has also ignited an alarming humanitarian crisis, with half the population suffering from hunger, according to the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
On Tuesday, the world body called for help to vaccinate 765,000 Syrian toddlers against polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set...
, in a bid to prevent a resurgence of the childhood killer.

The conflict began as a peaceful revolt demanding democratic change but transformed into a war when Assad's regime unleashed a brutal crackdown. Many months into the fighting, jihadists started streaming into the country.

Rocket Launched from Shebaa, Lands in Lebanese Territories
[An Nahar] A rocket was launched at dawn from the outskirts of Shabaa town and landed in Leb's territory, the National News Agency reported on Tuesday.

Unknown assailants in the outskirts of Shebaa fired a rocket at 2:00 am that landed in southern Leb.

The Lebanese army has since been sweeping the southern tip of Shebaa in search for the rocket platform which launched missiles towards the north of the occupied Paleostinian territories. The missiles landed on the highlands of al-Shahel mountain.

In that regard, the Lebanese army raided Bekaa's town of Brital on the backdrop of the incident.

Moreover, Israeli unmanned reconnaissance airplanes hovered over Shebaa, NNA added.

On Saturday, the Lebanese Army found in olive fields west of the southern region of Rashaya al-Fakhar, a launchpad that was used a week before to fire a rocket towards Israel but it fell short and landed in Lebanese territory.

Earlier, two rocket launchpads were found in the southern city of Tyre.

The rocket attacks from the South started amid an Israeli assault on Gazoo, which entered today its fifteenth day leaving hundreds of Paleostinians dead and maimed.
