[Daily Caller] FBI agents seized smashed computer hard drives from the home of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s information technology (IT) administrator, according to an individual who was interviewed by Bureau investigators in the case and a high level congressional source.
Pakistani-born Imran Awan, long-time right-hand IT aide to the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, has since desperately tried to get the hard drives back, the individual told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group.
The congressional source, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the probe, confirmed that the FBI has joined what Politico previously described as a Capitol Police criminal probe into "serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network" by Imran and three of his relatives, who had access to the emails and files of the more than two dozen House Democrats who employed them on a part-time basis.
Capitol Police have also seized computer equipment tied to the Florida lawmaker.
Awan’s younger brothers, Abid and Jamal, his wife, Hina Alvi, and Rao Abbas, Imran’s best friend, are also under investigation. There have been no arrests in the case.

Wife Hina Alvi was reported to have gone to Pakistan, to the bosom of her loving, powerful family. A quick google reveals nothing more. It has not been reported, so far as I am aware, that the Awan brothers' passports were taken from them to prevent such travel.

I'm assuming the fabricated Trump/Russian connection investigation is intended as a media mass distraction from the very real DNC/Pakistani compromise.

Apparently it's quite difficult to smash a drive such that the real experts can't read at least some of it.
Some companies use a service which shreds hard drives to something like grains of rice or sand. They will even make you a video. I wonder if the FBI might have a few of these machines.... oopsie!

Saw him speak at the Museum of Flight in Seattle (which has a Blackbird). It was a delightful, uplifting and humorous talk with gorgeous imagery.
Regarding the plane on display: One of the most impressive aspects was the "Buick" start cart. Twin unmuffled Buick V8s producing 800 horsepower and considerable flames that drove a shaft to start the jet engines.

The parents of a critically ill infant in the United Kingdom have withdrawn their weeks-long efforts to get Charlie Gard to the United States for experimental therapy. Their attorney told the court today that time had run out for Charlie as the parents burst into tears.

The Democratic Unity coalition had called a march on the pro-Maduro Supreme Court in support of alternative magistrates appointed by the opposition on Friday. But security forces blocked their way with armored cars and riot shields.
Clashes ensued, injuring several people including student protester Wuilly Arteaga, who has become famous for playing his violin in front of security lines.
Paramedics attended Arteaga in the street as blood poured down his face, witnesses said.
"Repression is the only way this regime keeps itself in power," opposition politician Luis Florido said at the march, blaming the Maduro government for the latest violence.
The opposition coalition and a self-styled youth-led "Resistance" movement launched protests in early April against Maduro whom they accuse of turning Venezuela into a dictatorship and wrecking what should be a prosperous economy.
He says demonstrators are seeking a coup with U.S. support.
Since April, more than 100 people have died in the unrest, with thousands injured and hundreds tossed in the slammer ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... . Five people died during an opposition-led national strike on Thursday.

[DAWN] KASUR: Six months and 10 murders, and all the dear departed are minor ages five to 10 and all of them were raped and killed. And the bodies were found in under-construction houses.
An eight-year-old girl was the 10th victim of this serial killing going on in the downtown of Kasur since January this year.
A-Division police, on July 8, found her body in an under-construction house in Shah Inyat Colony. She had left her house for a street tuition centre when she went missing. The latest victim of the killing spree was a grade three student and the daughter of a domestic help.
Of the 10 minors found raped and killed, seven were girls and three boys.
After every killing, the public would resort to road protests and disperse after police’s assurance that the case would be resolved soon.
Police have, however, failed to resolve any case; two persons, which the police said were the alleged rapists, were killed in encounters "by their own accomplices".
The ’Husain Khanwala’ incident in which hundreds of children were abused, filmed and, later, blackmailed by local gangs some two years back had already left indelible imprints in the history of Kasur.

[ABC] A Wisconsin company is about to become the first in the U.S. to offer microchip implants to its employees.
Yes, you read that right. Microchip implants.
"It's the next thing that's inevitably going to happen, and we want to be a part of it," Three Square Market Chief Executive Officer Todd Westby said.
The company designs software for break room markets that are commonly found in office complexes. Just as people are able to purchase items at the market using phones, Westby wants to do the sam thing using a microchip implanted inside a person's hand.
"We'll come up, scan the item," he explained, while showing how the process will work at an actual break room market kiosk. "We'll hit pay with a credit card, and it's asking to swipe my proximity payment now. I'll hold my hand up, just like my cell phone, and it'll pay for my product."
More than 50 Three Square Market employees are having the devices implanted starting next week. Each chip is about the size of a single grain of rice. Along with purchasing market kiosk items, employees will be albe to use the chip to get into the front door and log onto their computers.
Each chip costs $300 and the company is picking up the tab. They're implanted between a person's thumb and forefinger. Westby added the data is both encrypted and secure.
