US paid £17m to catch KSM

The Egyptian radical, who has not been named, agreed to tell his captors the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden's chief lieutenant after he was arrested in Pakistan last month, according to Newsweek. "He turned over and made a deal with the United States, "a Middle Eastern intelligence source told the magazine. On top of the £16 million bounty offered by the US government, he also negotiated extra cash for him and his family to relocate to the UK. A US law-enforcement official confirmed to Newsweek that the reward had been paid, but declined to discuss details.
