Afghan Blast Kills 3 Councilors, Wounds 5
Source: AfghaThree members of a local council were killed and five wounded in an explosion in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar on Monday, a witness and a hospital doctor said. The victims were coming out of a meeting in Zale Dasht district, about 19 miles west of Kandahar city, when the blast occurred, a witness told Reuters. He did not know what caused the explosion.
