US marine is first combat death
A US marine has been killed in Iraq becoming the first combat death of the war. The soldier, from the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, was involved in the ground assault in southern Iraq. Lieutenant Colonel Neal Peckham, a British military spokesman in Kuwait, said he had no further details.
