Musharraf for tolerance in society
 President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday said Islam taught tolerance and moderation and clerics and intellectuals should play an active role in spreading this message. Addressing an international clerics' conference titled "population and development" arranged by the Ministry of Population Welfare, the president said that clerics and intellectuals should educate people about population welfare issues such as child and mother care and gender equality especially in education.
