Report: Ruling Syrian party to make change
 A London-based Arabic daily reported Monday Syria's ruling Baath Party leaders are expected to introduce major changes when they meet next month. The Saudi-financed paper said next month's conference of Syria's ruling party was expected to witness "candid discussions" on Syria's foreign policy, especially regarding Iraq and Lebanon. It added party members would review the country's domestic, foreign, economic and structural political reports "that will end with recommendations expected to leave a large effect on political life in the next few years." The paper said these recommendations will be adopted only if the Baath remains the ruling party and the National Progressive Front remains the political coalition for registered parties.
