EU without France?
From the Times On Line"The political vacuum has prompted a battle for the "heart of the Union", with Mr Blair keen to push more liberal economic policies, rather than French-style social protection with a large welfare state." It would appear that a union without France may be in the works. Instead of Chirac pulling out, the citizens of France may be pulling out (a reverse of the way France pulled out of NATO in the 50s).
