UK forces facing continuing Iraqi resistance in Basra
The Lebanese Al-Minar satellite TV channel said on Sunday that British forces are facing continued resistance from Iraqi forces south of Basra, Iraq's second biggest city. However, a correspondent of the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera TV reported that US-led coalition forces are continuing their bombardments of the city. British forces, who have surrounded Basra, are not allowing people to enter the city but fleeing residents are allowed to leave. I think that means it's under siege...
