Four killed in Algeria violence
 Algerian Islamic gunmen attacked a military patrol in western Algeria, killing three troops and a civilian, security sources said Wednesday. The sources said the attack occurred Monday in the coastal province of Tibaza, 70 kilometers (43 miles) west of Algiers, when a group of 20 gunmen ambushed the military patrol with automatic weapons fire. A civilian traveling with the patrol was killed in addition to three soldiers. The army later combed the mountainous region in search of the attackers.Posted by: Steve 2005-06-15 |
