Six Afghans killed in bomb attack on convoy
 KABUL - Four Afghan police and two soldiers were killed and a police chief and his driver wounded on Saturday when a roadside bomb blasted a convoy in Afghanistan that included UN and peacekeepersâ vehicles, a UN official said.The explosion in the southeastern province of Paktika appeared to have been caused by a roadside bomb rigged up using an anti-tank mine, UN spokesman Adrian Edwards said. He said the police chief of Paktika province and his driver were slightly hurt, but no staff from the United Nations or the International Security Assistance Force peacekeepers were among the casualties. The attack on the 20-vehicle convoy happened about 100 km (60 miles) southeast of Kabul, Edwards said. He said the soldiers killed appeared to have been riding in the open back of the vehicle carrying the police chief, adding that about 10 suspects were rounded up in an ensuing firefight. âIt appears to have been quite a big blast,â he said.
