USS Nimitz Trespassers Face Extended Remand
KLANG [Malaysia], July 8 (Bernama) -- Five men who were caught in the security area of the nuclear-powered USS Nimitz aircraft carrier berthed at the Westport here last Friday had their remand extended by five days by the Magistrate's Court here Friday. Magistrate Mujib Saroji granted the extension to enable police to continue with their investigation.The five are being investigated under section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass. Three of them aged between 41 and 62 were caught in the ship while the other two, aged 41 and 52, were believed to have breached the security area in the wharf to take pictures of the carrier.
