GSPC knocks off some cops
Suspected Islamist militants have killed five security officers in an ambush in western Algeria, said reports on Monday. Algerian newspaper, Liberte, reported that the five - police officers and forest rangers - were killed when their vehicle came under fire in Ain Defla region, 120km from the capital Algiers.
