Zarqawi blasts Iraqi constitution
Iraqâs Al Qaeda group said on Thursday that Islamic sharia law should be the only legislation to govern the country, according to an Internet statement.âThe Islamic sharia is the right religion and anything else is wrong and rejected, including the constitution. No human being is allowed to legislate laws which are the right of God alone,â said the statement posted on a Web site frequently used by the Al Qaeda organisation in Iraq. âParticipating in drafting legislations and the constitution is equal to infidelism and blatant polytheism.
