Danish Company Admits Oil-For-Food Bribes
A Danish company said Friday that two of its employees accepted bribes from Iraqi officials under the United Nations' tainted oil-for-food program. In a statement on its corporate Web site, the pump-making company Grundfos said the two cases of bribery came to light during an internal investigation. "We have done everything we can to openly cooperate with the U.N. in New York to investigate and close this case in a satisfactory manner," CEO Jens Joergen Madsen said in the statement.
