Antiwar protestors organize relief for refugees
Paul McCartney, Avril Lavigne, David Bowie, Moby, and others have all contributed tracks to a benefit album that will be released on April 18. Next month in Italy, Bono and Luciano Pavarotti will be performing at a benefit concert for Iraqi refugees. All seven of them will be really pleased! Over 8400 Internet users, encouraged by liberal activism site Moveon.org have contributed $641,000 to Oxfam America's humanitarian relief fund. I don't see anything on Moveon.orgs website! Amazing how this org does so MUCH with so LITTLE effort....and so FAST! If Moveon.org is promoting OXFAM, then we have to wonder if OXFAM is just another money laundering gig or if they actually contribute a buck or two to the hungry. Posted by: becky 2003-04-12 |
