Muslim leadership to join hands in present scenario: Hamid Gul
Former ISI Chief Lt. General (Retd) Hamid Gul has said that after fall of Iraq, Muslim Ummah should be united, adopt a common strategy in order to foil the tactics of aggressor nations. Talking to NNI here on Friday, he said, "fall of Baghdad, which is the tragic incident of this century and a conspiracy against Islam." He said United Nations including Russia, Germany, France, USA and Britain are involved in this conspiracy. "Yes, by Gawd! It's a deep-laid plot against Muslims everywhere! And their little dogs, too!" The illegitimate war against Iraq was merely a propaganda war against Islam and Iraqi regime to topple Saddam Hussein and to control the oil resources of that country, he added. The ex-ISI Chief said attack on Baghdad proves that it was the clash of civilizations, as President Bush said after 11 September incident that "we will wage a crusade against Islam". Oh, he did not... He said after fall of Iraq, the threats of aggressor countries to Syria, Iran and even Pakistan shows that they started a war against Islam. If I had my druthers, I'druther Pakistan was moved up on the list ahead of the other two. Those people are crazy... The threat of using veto power by Russia, France and Germany against the US-Britain sponsored resolution was to protect the crusade and misled the Muslims that it was not a war against Islam, but only to topple the regime of Saddam Hussain which is a big conspiracy against Muslim Ummah.
