Blair and Bush try to rally UN against terror -- World Yawns
US and UK has become world's insurance policy, like State Farm Insurance, "Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is There."Tony Blair and President George W Bush told world leaders last night that they must unite or face destruction at the hand of terrorists. At a summit in New York to mark the 60th anniversary of the birth of the United Nations, they said Muslim fanatics were exploiting deep divisions and a lack of decisiveness in the international community's response. After member states failed to agree a definition of terrorism because of objections by Third World states sensitive to the wars waged by "liberation movements", a frustrated Mr Blair told the 15-nation security council that disaster would await unless they formed a strategy as clear as that of the terrorist enemy. Terrorism won't be defeated until our determination is as complete as theirs; our defence of freedom as absolute as their fanaticism, our passion for democracy as great as their passion for tyranny," he said.
