Scores Wounded in Belarus Blast
A small explosion outside a cafe in the Belarussian city of Vitebsk has wounded at least 40 people â the second such attack in two weeks. Some sources put the number of injured at 50, the NTV television channel reported. The device, packed into a beer can and containing metal fragments, was buried in a flower bed in the city centre, police told a Russian news agency. Some of the injured in Thursday nightâs blast were rushed to local hospitals. Four of them are in a grave condition, doctors told NTV. An investigation has been launched. A similar device buried in a flower bed near a bus stop went off last Thursday, injuring two people.
