Mosque ownership dispute: Case registered against 40 people
 Baghbanpura police registered a case against 40 people belonging to two religious groups and arrested several of them when they scuffled in the premises of the police station over the ownership of an under-construction mosque on Friday. Baghbanpura SHO Faisal Sharif said that the two sectarian groups had a dispute over an under-construction mosque at Miraj Park in the Baghbanpura police jurisdiction. The SHO said that one group claimed that their sect owned the mosque while the other group demanded the possession of the mosque on the grounds that the first group already had a mosque in the area.Posted by: Fred 2005-10-22 |
