Operation against South Waziristan tribe launched
 LADAH: The political administration of South Waziristan Agency launched an operation against four sub-clans of the Ahmadzai Wazir tribe on Wednesday. The administration arrested dozens of tribesmen including tribal elders, took back incentives, sealed the clansâ business centres and suspended their transport. The operation was conducted against the Khunai Khel, Fojal Khel, Shodarkai and Sparkai tribes under the Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR).All check posts in the area were directed to stay alert, while mobile teams raided tribesmenâs hideouts in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan. Wanaâs Assistant Political Agent Naveed Arshad said that the operation had been launched to arrest terrorists operating from the Shakai area who had recently destroyed army vehicles with a remote control bomb, killing and injuring several soldiers.
