5 killed in Kurds protests in NW Iran
Tehran, Iran, Feb. 18 At least five people were killed and dozens injured or arrested in the course of clashes between Kurdish demonstrators and government forces in Irans Kurdistan and West Azerbaijan provinces, according to a statement emailed to Iran Focus by Kurdish activists.Iranian Kurds staged several rallies in various towns and cities in the north-western regions of Iran on Thursday and Friday, the report said.
