Al-Qaeda response to US assessment of media war
 The Global Islamic Media Front, an al-Qaeda mouthpiece, issued a statement from its headquarters yesterday, February 20, 2006, responding to the speech Friday by U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld in which he spoke of the lagging response of the United States in the media war and advocated its improvement. Ahmad al-Watheq Billah, the author of the document, mocks this failing project of the American Army and lauds the jihad media, which is superior on the Internet network and other information sources for striking the enemy early and effectively.The group then calls upon both the sons and daughters of Islam to join the ranks of information jihad, and capitalize on their current presence on the Internet. Those who have knowledge of capturing photographs with mobile phones, take videos and know where to distribute them, are urged to record any image that depicts the failure and disgrace of the enemy in Muslim lands such as Palestine, Chechnya, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Billah, the author, charges that the concentration of pictures that represent the truth will attack Americas weak point, and threatens: The comings days will carry what will paralyze you enemies of the religion. You are wandering around and you will be wondering around more, you who are attacking the Prophet, our master Muhammad.
