Threats prompt U.S. closing of embassy in Riyadh
The U.S. State Department on Tuesday announced it was closing its embassy in Riyadh and consulates in Jeddah and Dhahran because of threats of "imminent" terrorist strikes. "The embassy continues to receive credible information that further terrorist attacks are being planned against unspecified targets in Saudi Arabia," said a statement on the embassy's Web site.
