Turkmenistan seizes drugs on Iranian border
Turkmen border guards seized more than one ton of drugs from smugglers on the Iranian border, official newspapers said Monday. The smugglers, who attempted to cross into Turkmenistan with 830 kilograms of opium and 203 kilograms of hashish, were detained, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said. It gave no other details, including the number and nationalities of the smugglers and when they were detained.
