Jibril tells Hariri he had no role in father's assassination
Ahmad Jibril, the head of the pro-Syrian Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command said Saturday that he "will have another round of meetings with Lebanese officials in 15 days so that we can implement several pending issues."Jibril, who resides in Syria, paid a surprising visit to Beirut and met with top Lebanese leaders including the head of the Future Movement MP Saad Hariri late Friday, Speaker Nabih Berri, Premier Fouad Siniora and Hizbullah's chief, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, on Saturday. Jibril said after his meetings that what "is most important at the moment is that the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon are given guarantees that they will be equal to their Lebanese brothers ... and given their basic human rights as the Palestinian refugees in Syria and outside it are given."
