Civil Servant Planned to Blow up Oil Tanker
A local official has been detained in Russias northern Murmansk province on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, security services reported Friday. The official is suspected of being involved in preparing a terror attack on an oil tanker, a spokesperson for local FSB directorate, Yelena Golovanova, told the news agency RIA-Novosti. The official allegedly planned to blow up the tanker with a view to causing an environmental disaster in the Kola Bay, she said. The man has been charged with preparing a terror attack, she added.
