Pakistan no failed state
 A government spokesman dismissed on Wednesday a report that listed Pakistan as one of the worlds most unstable countries, slamming it as a shoddy piece of political propaganda masquerading as intellectual research.

The Failed States Index complied by Foreign Policy magazine, in conjunction with the Washington-based Fund for Peace think-thank, ranks Pakistan in ninth position, one place ahead of war-torn Afghanistan. Pakistan has gone up the list from last year, when it was placed at number 34. Sudan tops this years list.
