Suu Kyi's party rejects resignation reports
Myanmar's opposition on Monday rejected claims in official media that over 60 of its members had resigned amid pressure from the ruling junta, which has accused the party of links to "terrorists." The New Light of Myanmar said Monday that 67 members of the National League for Democracy (NLD), headed by detained democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi, sent resignation letters to the party's headquarters and the government.
