Man shot dead near Heathrow
Breaking news, could be terror-related...A man has been killed after a shooting incident near Heathrow airport. It happened when a police patrol on the A4 near the British Airways headquarters was fired on as it tried to stop a speeding vehicle. Police returned shots and a man is reported to have died. An eye witness told BBC London he saw a casualty being taken away by air ambulance. British Airways staff were told to stay inside their headquarters building at the airport. A spokesman at Heathrow police station has described the incident, which happened at 1635 BST on Friday, as "serious". The man, who is described as white, died at 1734 BST.
