False alarm, traffic resumes at UN square in Geneva
 Traffic has returned to normal after the Geneva police encircled the United Nations square shortly and closed all exits and entries to it for some two hours suspecting a number of parcels. Spokesperson of the UN security confirmed that traffic returned to normal after bomb squads discovered that it was a false alarm. A police spokesperson had explained to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) earlier in the afternoon that there were suspicions about mail parcels addressed to the UN.Posted by: Fred 2006-05-25 |
