Tech note...
We've been getting a lot of duplicate posts lately, so I wrote a routine to check the URLs and to check the headlines against the current and previous day's posts. If there's a hit, the post will be flagged and will go to the editors' queue, to be either quietly deleted or to be released — some sites reuse URLs, even though it's lousy practice. So if your post disappears when you hit "Submit," probably somebody beat you to it.Posted by: Fred 2006-05-26 |
