Pro-govt tribal elder gunned down
 An improvised explosive device (IED) targeting an army convoy injured a jawan near Boya in North Waziristan on Tuesday. Meanwhile in South Waziristan, suspected militants fired at a car carrying a pro-government tribal, killing him and wounding two others, AP reported. The IED exploded on the roadside at Boya, 15 kilometres from Miranshah, as the convoy headed for Dattakhel at around 12:45pm. Local Taliban claimed responsibility and said the attack left some army personnel dead.
