Four Turks and 12 Afghan terror suspects arrested
QUETTA: Security forces on Friday arrested 11 Afghan nationals, a day after rounding up five foreigners suspected of links with Al Qaeda, an intelligence official said. The 11 were arrested during a raid on information gleaned from four Turkish nationals and one Afghan arrested on Thursday, the official said. "The Turkish nationals are being investigated for possible links to some Al Qaeda sleeper cells here," said the official asking not to be named.
The Turks were arrested from a bus at Sambaza check post in Zhob district. The official said the Afghans were suspected of being involved in a Taliban-led insurgency in Afghanistan. In a separate raid also on Friday, security forces said they arrested four people, including an Afghan, and linked them to the Balochistan Liberation Army.
