 Three commanders loyal to Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and 20 of their companions surrendered their weapons to the provincial authorities on Thursday. The commanders who surrendered include Bangan Khan Bugti, Saeed Khan Bugti and Neyal Khan Bugti. Nawab Akbar Bugti exploited us. We were ordered to carry out terrorist attacks against innocent civilians in the name of Baloch rights. We have also attacked national installations, but now we have realised that Akbar Bugti is fighting for his own interests, Bangan Khan of the Raheeja clan of the Bugti tribe told reporters at a press conference. Bangan claimed that he was the second-in-command of Akbar Bugtis guerrilla forces. Bangan said that no one but Akbar Bugti himself was responsible for the backwardness of his area and the people living in his town. He added that anyone opposing Akbar Bugtis policies was detained and tortured in private jails. Bangan claimed that he had spent most of his life with Akbar Bugti and had found out that all subversive activities in the area were being carried out on Akbar Bugtis orders.
