U.S. confirms N. Korea fired a total of six missiles
North Korea test fired six missiles, including a long-range Taepodong-2 missile and five short-term missiles, White House and Defense Department officials confirmed on Tuesday. The White House earlier told reporters that six missiles were launched. It then changed the number to five. Later, it confirmed the first number had been correct.
