Palestinian suicide bombing attack foiled
Major Palestinian suicide bombing attack foiled in central Israel Wednesday. A snap terror alert was clamped down on the Shomron and Sharon districts north of Tel Aviv Wednesday, July 5, until the would-be bomber was captured in the Barkan industrial zone between Rosh Haayin and Ariel. The terrorist, who was riding in a Palestinian taxi, was wearing an explosives belt. According to security forces, he intended to carry out an attack in an Israeli city.
In a second incident, police and Nahal Haredi commando forces shot dead a Palestinian terrorist wanted for a 2001 murder at the Ain Sultan camp near Jericho on the West Bank. An explosive device was found in his possession.
