India gets hi-tech US counter-battery radar
The United States has delivered a highly sophisticated radar to India under a military sales agreement worth $190m. The mobile Firefinder radar uses a combination of radar techniques and computer technology to detect the location of artillery weapons, almost as soon as they open fire. In all, 12 Firefinder radars will be delivered to India over the next three years. This will put a crimp in Pakistanâs cross border artillery shoots. The turbans will have a cow over this.
