Brother of BBC reporter kidnapped, killed
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan - A 15-year-old brother of a BBC reporter was kidnapped and shot dead in a volatile northwestern Pakistani tribal region, the broadcaster and a security official said on Wednesday. Taimor Khan, younger brother of journalist Dilawar Wazir, was kidnapped Tuesday after leaving for home from school in Wana, the main town in South Waziristan, and his bullet-riddled body was found in the same area Wednesday, a security official said on the condition of anonymity because he was unauthorized to speak to media. The brave Lions of Islam strike again | The official said the journalist, Wazir, had previously received threats from unidentified pro-Taleban local Islamic militants who believed he was writing stories against them. The kidnappers of Wazirs brother were unknown and police are investigating, the official said.
