Unity talks frozen until Abbas' return from US
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said Sunday that negotiations between his Fatah party and Hamas on establishing a national unity government had been suspended until his return from the United States. Abbas is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni on Monday in New York.
