Abducted newborn in Missouri recovered alive--woman arrested

A missing newborn girl who was abducted from her mother was found alive Tuesday, and appeared to be well at a hospital, a hospital official said. Bill Miller Sr., who is publisher of the Washington Missourian and also a member of the board of directors at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington, said family members were gathered with 11-day-old Abigale Lynn Woods.
St. Louis television station KSDK the baby was found not far from her home in Londell. Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke confirmed to KSDK-TV in St. Louis Tuesday evening that the baby was found alive in an abandoned house near Lonedell, not far from where the crime occurred. Toelke said a woman has been arrested.
The child's mother, 21-year-old Stephenie Ochsenbine, told police Friday a woman entered her rural home, attacked her with a knife, and stole Abigale Lynn Woods, who was a week old at the time.
