Former Taliban commander killed in Pakistan
A former Taliban commander, Zainuddin Achakzai, has been gunned down by unknown people in the outskirts of southwestern city of Quetta, reports said Friday. According to police sources, Mulla Zainuddin was on his way to a mosque to perform his morning prayers when two men opened indiscriminate fire on him yesterday. He died on the spot and his assailants fled. Hospital sources said Zainuddin received eight bullet wounds.Thatâll do it. Police said the murder could be the result of an old enmity. However, Murtaza Achakzai, Zainuddinâs younger brother, ruled out the possibility, saying his brother had no enmity with anyone. Well, at least two people had enmity with him.
