Iraqi gov't declares immediate curfew in Baghdad
The government of Iraq declared an immediate and complete curfew in Baghdad Friday night, AP reported. A spokesman for President Nouri al-Maliki said the curfew was effective from Friday night until Sunday. No vehicles or pedestrians would be allowed on the Iraqi capital's streets until the curfew was over. The spokesman refused to say why the curfew had been imposed.
