JI sets up fund to rebuild seminary
 Former NWFP minister and provincial chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq announced on Thursday that the seminary destroyed in Mondays attack in Bajaur would be rebuilt, and launched a fund for this purpose and to support families of the people killed in the incident, with an initial party contribution of Rs 1 million. He made the announcement at a press conference at Markaz-e-Islami, after a meeting of the JIs provincial executive council that decided to make the destroyed mosque and madrassa functional within three months. Haq said the JI had taken up the responsibility for support to victims families. He appealed to people to donate generously to the new fund, and claimed that the majority of victims belonged to poor families. The JI chief appealed to the Supreme Court to take suo moto action against the Bajaur tragedy to prove that the judiciary does exist.
