Jihadis murder two policemen in southern Thailand
Suspected Muslim insurgents fatally shot two policemen on Saturday in Thailand's restive south, police said. The attackers fled with the officers' guns after killing them in the Yaha district of Yala province, said Yala police chief Maj. Gen. Phaitoon Chuchaiya, who blamed the attack on insurgents.In Narathiwat province's Rueso district, the house of a public school teacher was set afire shortly after midnight, causing damage to the home but no injuries. Public schoolteachers are prime targets of attackers, who see them as symbols of the government.
