10 killed in claymore mine attack in Northern Sri Lanka
(KUNA) -- As many as five soldiers and five students were killed Saturday in a claymore mine attack and a shooting in Northern Sri Lanka, while a naval battle between Tamil rebels and Sri Lankan navy also started today off the country's Northwest coast. The claymore mine was targeting a Sri Lankan army truck in Vavuniya in Northern Sri Lanka Saturday, news agencies reported from capital Colombo. As many as three students were killed and eight injured in the blast.
