Liberiaâs Taylor to Announce Resignation of Presidency Thursday
Liberian President Charles Taylor will Thursday formally announce his intention to resign and is expected to take asylum in Nigeria, Mohammed Ibn Chambas, head of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), said Wednesday. Everyone is saying Chucky intends to resign, except Chucky. "There will be a joint session of the (Liberian) Senate and the House of Representatives tomorrow," Chambas said at a news conference. "The ceremony is for Mr Taylor to inform them of his intention to resign.
