Four dead in Colombia car bombing
BOGOTA: Four people were killed and three injured Friday in a car bomb explosion in Saravena, northeastern Colombia, police said. Police Chief Luis Alcides Morales of the Arauca department said the victims, all civilians, included two adults and two minors, and that the bomb was detonated as a police patrol was passing. He did not immediately speculate on responsibility for the bomb. Numerous guerrilla groups are active in this violence-ridden department, where a grenade attack in Saravena July 17 killed one and injured 17, hours after a visit by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.
